Black Mango were the new kids on the block (not the TV show, we’ll get to that later) and were looking to take the next steps to become a well known, stand out Australian furniture brand. They needed an agency to work with their close knit team, to not only run their paid advertising but to complement the rest of their marketing channels.

Introduce the large product offering to the right people.

Build a funnel to reflect previous learnings of the ad account, as well as bulk out areas of both cold traffic and re-marketing that had previously been missed. 

Ads were tailored to specific locations across Australia and curated with the intention of being able to push appealing features like shipping prices and delivery time frames to the correct people (which instantly put the account in a much more profitable position). 

Leveraged Black Mango’s wealth of PR (the biggest being becoming a featured brand on The Block, Australia) to produce a series of ‘As Seen On’ ads (a crucial step to scaling).

Through the mass reach of ads, Black Mango and The Social Lab were able to identify that customers were happy to shop online but they wanted the same flexibility as in-store purchasing.

From this, stemmed the options of express shipping, 48 hour dispatch, no question returns and send outs of fabric swatches. Implementing these points of differences in the ads, allowed Black Mango to really connect with their customers and skyrocketed their popularity.

In the background, both teams worked together to build the brand as a whole. Having seen such huge growth on Facebook and Instagram, Black Mango took the leap and expanded their Social Media Advertising to both Pinterest and TikTok to leverage the cheaper CPMs across both platforms and widen their current national reach.
